AmEx Launches Venture Capital Group
American Express is the latest huge corporation to launch a venture capital branch. The creation of the American Express $100 million fund, Enterprise Growth Group, follows venture capital initiatives by Visa, Google and Microsoft.
The Enterprise Growth Group, to be headquartered in Silicon Valley, will focus on digital commerce startups.
“We recognize the need to work with emerging technology companies to inspire change, encourage innovation, and ultimately deliver the best products and services to our customers,” said Dan Schulman, the American Express Enterprise Growth Group President.
With several huge corporations devoting money to investment in small and new businesses it is a promising time to look for capital. If you are searching for investors consider looking into the new venture capital groups launched by mega-companies like American Express, Visa, Google and Microsoft.

American Express has always been a leader in this area. Small business can get started with Venture capital, just need to be very careful about how much of your business you give up to get the money. One needs to be careful that they are not doing all the work for very little return.
