New $100 bill
Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke unveiled the new $100 bill. The bill features two add security features and goes into circulation February 10, 2011.
The new security features include a 3D security ribbon on the front of the note containing images of bells and 100s. The other feature is a “bell in the inkwell” image that changes from copper to green when the bill is tilted.
About two-thirds of US $100 notes circulate outside of the United States.
