Gold reaches highs
Gold has climbed to record-breaking highs and continues to climb. Gold is up to $1,237.50 an ounce. The previous high was in December 2009 at $1,226.10 an ounce, up from $1,220.30 yesterday.
Part of the reason the value of gold is increasing is because of the volatile market. On the day of the “flash crash”, gold rallied 2%. With trust in the market waning, gold is a constant.
Sources predicted that gold would reach its high the middle of 2010. It is expected to continue its upward trend through the end of the year.
