Small Businesses Worried About the Future

Do you feel optimistic about the future of your small business?  Hopefully the answer is yes, but if so only 64% of small businesses feel similarly according to Mid-Year Economic Report from the National Small Business Association.

The latest report shows that small business owners are feeling less certain about the economy and upcoming struggles than they did when polled 6 months ago.  The majority of small business owners, a whopping 88%, expect to see a flat or recessionary economy in the near future.

What’s making small businesses so nervous?  Top concerns of the 400 small businesses surveyed included health insurance, the current state of the economy, the debt ceiling debate, and declines in consumer spending.

Congratulations if you maintain a confident outlook on the future of your small business.  Even in this rough economy many small businesses continue to thrive, and one of those companies could be yours!
