Inexpensive Legal Help on the Internet

Many small businesses need lawyers frequently, unfortunately costly lawyer fees put a dent in small budgets.  However, it is less expensive and relatively convenient to use online legal services instead of hiring a local attorney.

Websites that offer legal services include Rocket Lawyer, Legal Zoom, Free Advice.  On these sites small businesses can create binding legal documents and receive professional legal advice from real lawyers.  The services are significantly cheaper than the costs of hiring a lawyer from an area firm.  Free Advice offers, you guessed it, FREE advice.  And on Rocket Lawyer users can pay as little as $24.99 a month for a legal business plan.

There is a downside to these legal service sites.  You do not know the lawyers on these sites personally.  Unlike when you employ the services of a lawyer you have met in person, there is no way to learn the allegiances, reputations, etc. of these cyber lawyers.  On the other hand if you currently struggle to afford legal services, it can be worth taking a small risk to save your company large amounts of money.

It is inevitable that small businesses will have legal needs.  Unless you attended law school, or are lucky enough to have a family member that did, you will find yourself in need of a lawyer.  Legal fees can drain a huge part of your budget, but startups with small funds now have less expensive online options.  Visit sites like Rocket Lawyer, Legal Zoom and Free Advice for access to affordable and quick legal services.
