The Venture for America Program

You have probably heard of Teach for America, an established program that places qualified college graduates as teachers at schools in needy areas.  Well now it’s time to get acquainted with Venture for America, a new program established by a business man whom Teach for America inspired.

Venture for America, launched by former Manhattan GMAT CEO Andrew Yang,  is in it’s first year of operation.  This summer 50 “fellows”, the promising recent grads selected by the program, will begin work at small businesses.  They will be paid $32,000-$38,000, will receive health benefits, and are invited to attend a 5-week seminar at Brown University.

Would you be interested in working or hiring through Venture for America?  Do you think small businesses need help hiring qualified graduates?  Let us know if you come across any Venture for America participants!
