Words that Make People Delete Your Emails

Wondering why your emails aren’t being responded to?  You may be using the wrong language according to a study conducted by Baydin, the maker of email software Boomerang.

According to data from 5 million emails, here are some of the words to AVOID when you want a response:

Join

Assistance

Confirm

Press

Speaker

Invite

Social

On the other hand the following words illicit more responses, so USE these words:

Cancellation

Demo

Apply

Payments

Opporutunity

Conference

Baydin’s study found that of the average 147 emails participants received every day, half were deleted.  Make sure you’re using the right language to get your email read!
