Small Business Confidence Up
Small businesses feel more confident than they have in years. This is excellent news, especially after yesterday’s disheartening blog about a drop in the number of startups last year.
This report comes from the National Federation of Independent Business. In January the NFIB’s optimism index hit 93.9, the highest it has been since 2007!
In addition lay offs are at their lowest since 2007. Many small businesses are even having trouble finding employees.
“The increase in the percent of owners with hard-to-fill job openings indicates that job markets are tightening somewhere,” said the NFIB.
With small businesses more confident than they have been in 5 years, 2012 is off to a great start!
