Social Media Reading

Haven’t conquered social media yet?  Learning about the always changing, but increasingly important, world of social media is daunting.  There are lots of books on the subject to catch you up, but some are better than others.  Here’s a list of some of the books on social media I’ve read that can help you become more knowledgable on the subject:

Likeable Social Media: How to Delight Your Customers, Create an Irresistible Brand, and Be Generally Amazing on Facebook (And Other Social Networks) by Dave Kerpin: Learn how to use social media to drive  customers to your business with this book.  Kerpin argues that social media and word-out-mouth promotion have the power to be more persuasive than advertising.

Social Media Marketing for Dummies by Phyliss Khare: It’s hard to go wrong with the “Dummies” books.  This book has expert advice on every aspect of social media and how to start using it.  There is also a CD included with an eLearning course!

The Zen of Social Media Marketing: An Easier Way to Build Credibility, Generate Buzz, and Increase Revenue by Shama Kabani: Kabani talks about the basics of social media and how to use them.  Another basic book for beginners!

People are discussing your business via social media whether or not you use social media.  Social media can make or break your brand, so you better know how to use the power of social media.  Read the above books to start becoming an expert on social media.  Tune into BIZ TV for more information on how social media can help small businesses!
