Easter Spending Predicted to Spike

Black Friday might be your biggest weekend, but don’t forget that consumers also spend for Easter.

This coming weekend in Easter Weekend, and experts predict that Americans will be spending.  The National Retail Federation’s survey claims that consumers will spend a total of $16.8 billion for Easter this year, an average of $145 a person.  That number is up 11% from last year.

“Though the price of gas is on everyone’s mind, Easter is one of the few holidays some consumers are willing to stretch their budgets, especially because many children look forward to treats and new outfits on Easter morning,” said NRF president and CEO Matthew Shay.

Get ready for a big weekend!  If your small business sells Easter related products, you will likely see a spike in your sales this coming weekend.
