Entrepreneur Training Programs
Several states now have entrepreneur training programs for the unemployed.
Washington and Colorado already built programs to train jobless individuals to launch their own startups and now New Jersey is introducing a similar program.
New Jersey’s program is called Intersect Fund, and will sponsor 60 hours of training for unemployed aspiring entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs will also be able top borrow $10,000 for their startup at the end of training.
“The program’s goal is to give participants the tools they need to start profitable businesses. That means knowing where to find one’s customer, knowing how to manage the money and knowing how to plan for growth,” said Joe Shure, associate director of the Intersect Fund.
If your state doesn’t have an entrepreneur training program contact a local representative and ask for one!
