Health Incentives Help Employers
Offering employees incentives to improve their health may benefit employers more than they realize.
A recent study by the Society for Human Resources found that offering incentives for workers to get in good health produces financial benefits for employers.
In 2011 health-care costs rose 6.9% and employers ended up paying 60.3% of the total cost of their employees’ health care. Companies that offer wellness bonuses most often end up paying less in health care costs because their employees are healthier.
Healthy employees are happier, more productive AND have lower health care costs. Consider offering wellness bonuses to motivate your employees to stay healthy!
