Why Not to Cut Back on Employee Training
Training employees can be expensive, but according to research it’s too important to be cut back on.
Many small business owners report that when their budget is tight they spend less on training and employee development. For many businesses in this economy it seems like a logical money saver. However, cutting back on these costs may end up hurting your business.
Without training and development, your employees are less likely to complete their work the exact way you want. Trained employees are more productive and up-to-date on procedures and technology.
If you can’t afford to train every employee, then at least train one or two and have them instruct the rest of your team.
Many small businesses are trying to save on costs in today’s economy, but don’t forget how beneficial employee training and development can be.
