New Scam Targets Small Business

Be wary of any emails your receive coming from the “Council of Better Business Bureau.”  The real Council of Better Business Bureau issued a warning yesterday that small businesses are being tricked by an email scam.

If you receive an email with the subject line, “Complaint from your customers,” sent from the email address, “riskmanager@bbb.org,” DO NOT OPEN IT.  Immediately file a report with the real BBB at https://www.bbb.org/scam/report-a-scam/.

Currently the FBI is looking into the scam, which has been circulating a couple of weeks.  Meanwhile continue to be vigilant and avoid opening any emails that resemble the above.  To learn more about the scams that affect small business and how to avoid them, tune into BIZ TV’s programming.
